Arc'teryx Men's Fission AR Winter Coats

Arc'teryx Men's Fission AR Winter Coats

The lightweight Arc'teryx Fission AR Jacket combines quality Primaloft® non-quilt insulation with three distinct waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX® XCR™ fabrics in a functional profile that looks good on the streets without compromising the outerwear's technical potential on the mountain. The versatile Fission AR Jacket remains the most popular insulated piece in the Arc'teryx arsenal, especially if you climb, camp, hike or paddle. Arc'teryx used an exclusive non-quilt design approach that eliminates the need for quilting, resulting in fewer stitches and less weight while enhancing loft and insulating performance. Arc'teryx also sized the Fission AR Jacket's stow-away hood to fit over climbing helmets and kept the length short for optimal comfort under a harness. If weather conditions are secondary to your need to be outside, the Arc'teryx Fission AR Jacket should be your constant companion.

The North Face Boy's Nuptse Winter CoatsKeep skiing, snowboarding and winter camping outings fun and comfortable with the 600+ down fill warmth of the Nuptse Jacket. You'll be hard-pressed to find a better-designed kid's jacket on the market, which makes sense when you consider that this Nuptse is a scaled-down version of one of the most successful adult jackets in the outdoor industry. The Nuptse is Zip-in compatible, which means that you can zip it into other shell garments made by The North Face. This Zip-in feature isn't mandatory in foul weather because the shell is made with waterproof and breathable two-ply HyVent™ Palisade 4.1 fabric, but you might want to augment the two-ply protection with something a little heavier for snowboarding and icy sliding. The 600+ down fill is high-quality, lightweight insulation designed to keep kids comfortable through a range of temperatures, making the Nuptse ideal for extended ski and snowboard school programs.

Have Ice, will fish. The North Face is typically associated with outerwear clothing and equipment for hiking, climbing and camping, but the 550-fill down insulated Ice Jacket is excellent for standing around waiting for the light rail. It's a big and burly waterproof design with a detachable hood and plenty of pockets on the outside for your extra gear. There's also an internal media pocket so you can keep your batteries warm while listening to the game on your radio (especially if you're sitting way up high in the breezy cheap seats). Everything is seam sealed so you don't have to hassle with water seeping in while you're enjoying yourself outside.

Arc'teryx Men's Maverick AR Jacket

Price: $198.95

Ideal insulating outerwear for hiking and climbing on cool, calm days, this Arc'teryx Maverick AR Jacket has a streamlined profile that easily layers beneath your skiing and mountaineering shells without jamming up your mobility with extra fabric. Like the Arc'teryx Maverick SV Jacket, this one uses a slimmed-down gusseted underarm sleeve construction to enhance your range of motion. Beneath the front zipper is a wind flap to minimize breeze penetration on blustery days, but the Maverick AR Jacket lacks the same wind resistance as the SV--although you shave at least six ounces off on the overall garment weight. This is a great technical front zip jacket for cool dry conditions and it's indispensable when paired with a waterproof shell.
